About

I listen and guide. You act and transform.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in Virginia, Washington (state), District of Columbia, and Georgia. I have earned an Associates in Health Sciences at George Washington University, Bachelors in Psychology at North Carolina State University, and Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Crisis and Trauma at Walden University. In addition to aforementioned, I am a proud Veteran of the United States Armed Forces where I serviced honorably for 8 years as a Medical Laboratory Technician also known as a 68K. I earned my National Certification in Counseling (NCC) along with the following certifications as sexual offender treatment provider (CSOTP), clinical trauma adolescent provider (CTAP), Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCTAP), Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist (CAGCS). I served in mental health and health sciences in multiple settings for over 16-years. Prior to establishing MentalMorphosis, LLC, I worked as an therapeutic independent contractor for multiple companies for about 6 years; a therapist at a 24 hour residential psychiatric facility for almost 2 years; intensive in home counselor for a 1 ½ year; Clinical Coordinator and back up forensic interviewer for about 1 ½ year; foster care case manager for 3 ½ year; laboratory technician. During my practicum and internship, I was an outpatient therapist for about a year that addressed multiple areas of mental health. I have a straightforward and to the point approach to therapy. I encompass evidence-based therapeutic techniques in my sessions and utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach when working with clients. I feel like people should have the most supportive resources to heal appropriately and become better people. I encourage people to find a therapist that they can be open with and address their therapeutic concerns. I realize that the therapist and client must work openly together to reach the client's therapeutic goals so I feel that people should find a therapist that they feel comfortable with. I also realize that I am not the therapist for everyone but willing to help anyone that is ready for change and to do the therapeutic work for change and to heal.
